I was so close to purchasing this software with an add-on (total $1,400) for my startup company. Here's why I didn't:

I talked to the company using the LiveHelp to ask a simple compatibility question. Whether the answer was yes or no, I was still going to purchase the software. Anyways, the person told me it was "no" and wouldn't help me with my follow up questions about the software unless I gave him my number. For privacy concerns, I wasn't going to give out my number as I'm not even their customer yet.

To make a long story short, the person could have easily helped me out right there and then but instead, he ended the conversation only because I wouldn't give out my number. What's the point of having LiveHelp if they are going to move the conversation to the phone? If I wanted a phone conversation to begin with, I would have called their number, not use their LiveHelp!

This is pure speculation but he may have wanted my number so he could use some high-pressure sales pitch to get me to buy the product.
