Date::Convert is intended to allow you to convert back and forth between any arbitrary date formats (ie. pick any from: Gregorian, Julian, Hebrew, Astronomical, and any others that get added on). It does this by having a separate subclass for each format, and requiring each class to provide standardized methods for converting to and from the date format of the base class.

This is a set of routines designed to make any common date/time manipulation easy to do. Operations such as comparing two times, calculating a time a given amount of time from another, or parsing international times are all easily done. From the very beginning, the main focus of Date::Manip has been to be able to do ANY desired date/time operation easily, not necessarily quickly.

This module presents routines to calculate the Mayan day from a Julian day, and a Julian day from a Mayan day. The Mayan calendar has different dating systems, the Long Count (which cycles every 5125 years), the Tzolkin (260 days) and the Haab (365 days). The Long Count consists of quintuple of numbers (really a mixed base 20/18 number), while the Tzolkin and the Haab consist of day numbers and week or month names.
